The Society were again invited to assist with a field walk over Mumrills Fort. We had a rewarding time with over a dozen sherds of samian and a fair number of mortaria. Included in the former was a form 37 with a beaded line under an absent ovola; a standing figure (type O.905) with a vertical beaded border to the right and a festoon suspended from an astragalus. Central Gaul. The figure O.905 is used by Cinnamus.
There is also a body sherd from a Curle 21, which is the first time that we have found it at Mumrills.
